Successful Email Marketing
Successful Email Marketing
No doubt email is still the best way to get a quick response from your prospect. Big companies on the web have realized this that they have implemented free email address service on their web site. This free email awareness has even reached Yahoo, AltaVista, Lycos, and InfoSeek. They knew that being a search engine is not enough that they've even turned into a hotmail web site. We'll recruit your people under you.

Search engines knew that they need to reach their users via email and incorporating successful email marketing that works. I'm here to reveal their secrets.
How can we go about writing successful email marketing that really works.
1. Think Before You Write.
This is obviously the very basic foundation that most of us internet marketers have neglected. For us, words are easy to come by and we haven't done our targeting yet. Target it to your customers and compose an email that will always refer back to your web site and services you sell.
2. Target Narrowly and Carefully.
Search engine categories have helped me a lot in writing a brief but carefully targeted articles. There are even free services that lets you create your own email group such as egroups.com, topica.com and listbot.com
Just be careful not to spam or you'll end up getting flames in your email box.
3. Keep It Short.
No we're not stupid in doing this. Studies have shown that sending a very long email to prospects will let them send it to their waste baskets. Be brief and highlight your product's effectiveness in two to three sentences and provide the URL. Try to discuss one topic per email you send.
4. Offer Free Items If They Continue To Be A Subscriber.
Just saying "Thank You for being a subscriber" is worth millions to them. Extend it a little further. Why not add "Here's your free gift and thank You For referring me to your friends."
5. Offer Free Sample Articles.
Tell them straight or lead them to your archives of articles. So, they will know that you're not sending them to buy, buy and buy. You want them to be helped, satisfied and become a reseller.
Here's my sample articles.
6. Cross-sell To Your Subscribers.
Give them valuable discounts if they buy from you. Obviously, you can convince them to get another free item for a limited time if they buy.
7. Personalize.
You can go to www.smartbotpro.net/?weblord@Weblord2000.com so that every time you send an email you can address them by their own name.
8. Re-read and Re-write.
You know what when I've finished a certain article I usually let it linger for a week and then I read it again. I usually ask myself "Is this me writing my heart out? or is it just to make money from this article?"
Giving your hearts out to your visitors will earn you their trusts which in turn persuade them to buy from you.
9. Be Honest.
If you can't provide the service they want, then you can refer them to someone else. I have an affiliate which hosts 50+ other companies who's willing to pay you a commission if you refer someone. Email me for details. you can go straight to it by going to my web site and click on "Affiliate Program" under "Utilities" section.
10. Follow-up In A Timely Manner.
Of course, having your own database of email addresses you've contacted or have contacted you will benefit you in the long run. Just be patient to add to it.
Soon you will benefit from it, always be there when they need you.

My Dog Ate My Website
My foray into the world of on-line marketing reminds me of the time I bought the perfect dog. A simple one-day project turned into a research project. The research project made me so well informed I missed the obvious.
I am really fascinated by the world of on-line marketing. I spend more and more of my time on the net, make more of my purchases from on-line suppliers, but I seem to find out about new about new products on TV, radio, or even mail.
You probably have me pegged... I am an information junkie. I can't seem to get enough.
I started exploring the world of on-line marketing at the beginning of the year to help some of my clients grow their business. Over the past few months I have been drinking out of a fire hose. Event though internet marketing is much smaller that the other media channels it is a really interesting, sophisticated and serious business.
I suppose my experience with Fortune 1000 eCommerce consulting and participation in several DOTCOM era start-ups made a little arrogant. I felt like I knew what was going on the internet. Yeah, right.
My foray into internet marketing now reminds me of the last time I decided to buy a dog.
My quest for the perfect dog led me to a library and the internet to research dog breeds. Then I had a couple of discussions with my wife and kids to figure out what size, personality, etc. that we were looking for.
While we were thinking of making a purchase, we noticed a sign for a dog show. Have you ever been to a dog show? Do you have any idea about the time and money that this country spends on keeping dog genes sorted, categorized, primped, poofed, and pimped. It's huge! And world of dog breeding is a lot like the world of termites. If you don't go looking for it, you don't know it's there.
At the dog show we saw lots of great breed, met breeders and made appointments to check out puppies. By the time we were done we were experts and we picked a great dog, a Brittany Spaniel and named him McKenna. We knew he was going to be perfect and he was.
He was a perfect nightmare; tons of energy and an amazing athlete. He drove us nuts and destroyed our place. We found that we really should have had a demo before we bought. But we hung in there and eventually we found a solution.
Internet marketing is not hiding but you really have to look hard to find out how it works and who is making money. It's responsible for $10 to $25 billion annually, but nobody is really measuring.
This young industry is made up of a wild mix of players: Marketing Guru's, Affiliate Marketers, Product Sourcing Directories, Drop Shippers, SEO Experts, Link Managers, and on-and-on. The whole thing is still very much in the hands of cowboys, and not controlled by big corporations. I really like that.
So I recently inked my first agreement to market a product. I launched a modest web site, waited, and watched. To my surprise, nothing happened. Nobody came - no search engines crawled - hmmm….
Is it time to take the dog back? I don't think so.
I find most things I need on the internet without too much trouble. If marketers are winning my attention then I'm sure that "mercenary" marketers are willing to share their secrets.
I just need to get the right mix of tools and information to take care of my current challenge. The great thing about the net is that you can often demo and test before you commit to a lifelong relationship.

Making Your Website Affiliate Friendly
By Jerry Lunsford

Ever go to a website and couldn't make heads or tales of it? Possibly it was littered with advertisements in the form of flashing banner ads or pop-ups? What did you end up doing? If you are like me...you left. And without even bothering to look around. Why? Because you either couldn't find what you came to the website for, or you were turned off by all the commercialism of the site. Either way you ended up wasting your time, and the owner of that website failed in his attempts at marketing. Why?
Because a website is virtually worthless regardless of how many hits you are getting if visitors immediately exit your sight. But the better scenario is a website that offers people exactly what they were expecting from your keywords and description. This will result in your visitors, who have become targeted traffic to spend more time at your site which probably means they will do a thorough examination of your business opportunity.
To keep visitors looking over your website it is important to have one predominant theme. For instance. If your website is completely dedicated to your affiliate program, then your keywords and description should emphasize that. If your website offers ways to increase traffic don't list your site as an affiliate program just because you offer a link to one. That's getting people to your site under false pretenses. Their coming to your site looking for an affiliate program and instead they find instructions on increasing website traffic. More likely then not those people will bail out only to look elsewhere.
While it is a good idea to offer links to other sites and services that are similar in nature to your own website I do not suggest creating keywords or including in your description any of these. I am thoroughly convinced that the majority of people will not click past your home page to find what they are looking for. Do You? So If you have a sight that offers marketing articles but would like to offer your affiliate program as well, you can create a whole new site just to promote your program through which you may receive more targeted traffic. This will allow people to click your link from wherever it may be posted and up pops exactly what they read in your description.
But that's not the only problem with websites. Some contain such massive amounts of advertisement in the form of pop-ups, flashing and moving banners, and music, it's like looking at a video game where your objective is to shoot the pop-ups down before another one is created.
No one likes to be bombarded with advertising. And all that advertising takes away from the theme of your website. While a person is reading about your offer they are being distracted by things moving and flashing all over the place. Besides, if you are offering an affiliate program, visitors to your website are not looking for car insurance, vitamins, or long distance phone service. I'll take that back. They may be looking for those things but most people will go directly to the source by use of a particular keyword and their favorite search engine. This also emphasizes the need to have the proper keywords and description to match up with your website.
If you are advertising on your home page may I suggest no more than two banner ads on it. And they should some how be linked to the theme of your website. Now, if you have quite a few products or services to advertise there are a couple of ways of doing it that won't turn your home page into a shooting gallery.
1. Use one line text ads. Corner them off onto a particular section of your site allowing visitors to make the decision as to whether they want to view your advertisements or not.
2. Make a separate site for each product or service. You can create sub-domains for your products or services and promote them just as you would your main site, and do so with a lot more success.
Here is a recap of points to remember.
Present a website that:
Is easy to navigate
Has minimum advertisements
Is what people expect to see at first glance
Matches your description and keywords
Maintains one predominant theme
If you conform your website in the manner stated above you will end up with more targeted traffic to your site which should result in more sign-ups to your program. Build your website to meet the expectations of those who visit it and you will succeed.
